Ben Schwartz is a husband, father, trial lawyer, and managing attorney of the law firm Schwartz & Schwartz, Attorneys at Law, P.A. Born in Delaware, Ben graduated magna cum laude from New York Law School in New York City. After about a decade in private law practice, Ben has tried dozens of cases to verdict, including serious personal injury cases, criminal cases, and employment cases. Some of Ben’s most recent cases include:

• Wrongful Death. Ben represented several orphaned children whose mother was killed in an automobile collision caused by a motorist who failed to lend his full and undivided attention to the task of driving. Settlement for the children in an undisclosed amount.
• Personal Injury. Ben’s client sustained abdominal crush injuries after a serious automobile collision caused by another driver speeding in bad winter weather conditions, who could not be bothered to slow down and pay attention. Case settled for approximately half a million dollars prior to trial.
• Criminal Defense. Ben’s client was accused of delivering cocaine to an undercover officer on four separate occasions in hand-to-hand transactions. After jury trial, the client was found not guilty on all charges.
• Employment Litigation. Ben’s client was discharged from his position as Chief of Police of a Delaware municipality after investigating and reporting criminal activity by the Town Manager. Client is no longer able to find employment as a police officer and therefore sustained a loss of future earning power. Ben obtained a jury verdict of approximately three hundred thousand dollars.
