Ben Schwartz is a Delaware trial lawyer, practicing primarily in the field of plaintiff's personal injury litigation. Ben was born and raised in Dover, Delaware and graduated from Dover High School. Ben went on to Graduate from the University of Delaware, where he was a member of Belmont Honors Society.
Ben obtained his law degree from New York Law School in New York City. Before graduating Magna Cum Laude (in the top 8% of his graduating class), Ben was a member of the New York Law School Civil and Human Rights Clinic, and tried his first federal case during his second year of law school. Ben also served as Legal Intern to the Hon. David G. Trager, United States District Court Judge in the Eastern District of New York.
After law school, Ben returned to his native Delaware and joined his father, Steven, in private practice. Ben accepted court appointments in felony criminal cases during the first several years of his practice under a "conflict attorney" contract with the Delaware Superior Court. That contract enabled Ben to litigate numerous jury trials, gaining invaluable experience in the process.
Today, Ben still accepts private criminal cases, but focuses his practice on plaintiff's personal injury litigation. Ben has litigated numerous personal injury matters, obtaining substantial awards for his clients.
